Privacy Policy
We built Nimzey to make your creative process feel safe to share. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and how it's handled.

1. The short version.
Your screen captures (timelapses, screenshots, GIFs, and recordings) live on your computer, not ours. We don't upload them, view them, or use them to train anything. The only things we store on our servers are what we need to run your account: your email, your subscription status, and lightweight usage info if you opt into analytics.
2. Information we collect.
Information you give us
- Email address — used to log in via a one-time link, send receipts, and (if you opt in) product updates.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe gives us a reference ID, your plan, and your subscription status.
- Support messages — if you email us, we'll keep the message so we can help.
Information the app collects on your device
- Screen captures (timelapses, screenshots, GIFs, screen recordings) — stored locally in your Nimzey folder. They are not uploaded to our servers.
- App-window titles (e.g. "Figma — My Project") — used locally to figure out which design tool is active so the recap can attribute time to the right program.
- Basic activity stats (which apps you used, for how long) — stored locally so Nimzey can build your recap.
Information we collect automatically
- Diagnostics — crash reports and high-level error logs to keep the app stable. These do not contain the contents of your screen.
- Website analytics — we use Google Analytics on nimzey.com to understand which pages people visit and how they found us. Google Analytics may set cookies and process anonymized usage data. No ad networks, no remarketing.
3. How we use information.
- Run your account and process your subscription.
- Send transactional emails (login links, receipts, important account notices).
- Provide support when you ask for it.
- Improve the app — fix bugs, ship features, understand what's working.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your captures, designs, or window titles to train AI models.
4. Who we share information with.
We use a small set of trusted providers to run Nimzey. They only get the data they need to do their job.
- Stripe — payments, subscriptions, billing portal.
- Supabase — account database (your email, plan, license key).
- Resend — sending transactional email (login links, receipts).
- Vercel — hosting nimzey.com and the API endpoints.
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics (page views, referrers, anonymized device info).
Each provider has its own privacy practices. We pick providers that take security seriously.
5. Cookies.
nimzey.com uses essential cookies (to keep you logged in) and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics so we can understand how the site is used. We don't run advertising or remarketing cookies.
6. How long we keep your information.
Account data stays for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal info from our database within 30 days (some data may be retained longer if required by tax or accounting law). Local captures on your computer remain yours — we can't delete them remotely.
7. Your rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's wrong.
- Delete your account and the data associated with it.
- Export your data.
- Opt out of marketing emails (transactional emails are required to keep your account working).

8. Security.
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where applicable. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Children.
Nimzey is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us.
10. International users.
Nimzey is operated from the United States. By using Nimzey you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.
11. Changes to this policy.
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date above and let you know via email or in-app. Continued use of Nimzey after the change means you accept the new policy.
